Getting Started
-
If you are interested in working together, please click the New Client Inquiry button and complete the brief form.
I’ll be in touch within 1-2 business days via email. We will schedule an initial session. Before this session, you will complete some online paperwork so that I can better understand who you are and what you are looking for from the counseling experience.
During the initial session, we will work together to figure out if I'm a good match for what you want and need from a counselor and if you're a good match for my approach/training/background.
It's important to me that you have choice in who you pick to be your counselor. I won't expect you to make a decision during the first session. I will ask you to email me within a few days to let me know if you'd like to move forward in working together. If it's a yes, we will set up a regular weekly or biweekly schedule.

Here are somethings we’ll do in therapy:
Talk! (I know, so basic, but it’s a huge coping strategy and it works)
We’ll explore your feelings, the hard ones and the awesome ones
We may do “exposures” aka doing the things that make you scared or anxious
We will brainstorm ideas, set goals, build new habits, and problem-solve
Practice coping strategies together like mindfulness, going into nature, or being creative
I might give you tasks or activities to do between sessions to help us learn more about you or to practice a new skill
You can give me ‘homework’ like to read a book you love or listen to a particular podcast
Meet in the community like at a coffee shop or a park or we can shoot hoops, play catch, or go for a walk while we talk
Have fun!

I currently use a hybrid model of both virtual and in-person appointments. In-person appointments are currently held at local basketball courts in the city of Seattle.
When we meet for our initial session, we can talk about whether you would prefer virtual, in-person, or a mix of both. We can also change our approach at any time, depending on what works best for you.
-
All individual 50-minute sessions are $200.
I am private pay or out-of-network (OON). I do not accept any insurance. I can provide you with a monthly superbill to submit to your insurance for possible out-of-network benefits.
-
For me to provide you with quality counseling services, your appointment time is held exclusively for you. If you must cancel your appointment, please get in touch with me at least 24 hours in advance of the scheduled appointment time. Late cancellations and missed appointments will be charged the full fee for the session. If we can reschedule your appointment before your next scheduled session, I will not charge the late cancellation fee.
-
I provide non-emergency counseling services by scheduled appointment. In the case of an emergency, please call the 24-hour Seattle Crisis Line at 206-461-3222, call 911, or go to the nearest emergency room.
-
I see clients Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and some Saturdays.
I have afternoon and evening appointments, but some schools allow students to attend therapy during their free period. In this case, I may be able to accommodate an earlier appointment.
